Do You have a Plan for Your Collection?

It seems many collectors and hobbyists tend to fly by the seat of their pants when it comes to making decisions about their hobby. Unfortunately, this attitude actually sabotages their long-term success, sapping their buying power, time, and energy.

Having a plan is essential to anyone who seeks to make serious strides in the hobby world. Today, I'd like to outline three steps you can take to ensure you're on the right track, and recommend products that can help you get there.

First, be thoughtful. Every purchase or investment of time or money that you make is either moving you closer to, or further away from, your long-term goals. Be sure to invest in quality products that will serve you well for a long time to come, such as Diecast Masters, NZG, and First Gear

#85521 - 1/50 Scale
CAT 18M3 Motor Grader

#40-0385 - 1/25 Scale
Allis-Chalmers - 1960's Ford Econoline Van
#7621-01 - 1/50 Scale
Doug Hood - Komatsu PC2000-8 Excavator

It's better to buy a high-quality product once than to pay less for an inferior model that you must continually replace or repair.

Second, be vigilant. Always be alert for sales (such as our Memorial Day Sale, running now through the 30th!) and new product announcements, and be decisive when the time comes to act.
Some brands, such as GreenLightM2Machines, and Auto World, have amazing offerings with extremely limited production runs...hesitating on these items can make it difficult, or sometimes impossible, to get the models you want.

Third, don't get discouraged. You're going to make mistakes (that's just part of the journey), but you don't have to let it get you down. Refocus and get back on track. We'll be right beside you every step of the way!

Whether you collect diecast construction equipment, dabble in farm toys, horde military replicas, build HO scale worlds, or something else entirely, chances are we can help you! Visit us at 3000toys.com today!
