The announcement of Dragon's impressive 1/6 scale Panzer II tank has been creating a lot of excitement here at 3000toys.com as well as worldwide. This Panzer II is part of Dragon's 1/6 scale Action Figure collection, and it's an important part since it's the first ever tank in this lineup.

DRAGON 71450  -  1/6 Scale   Retail = $680.95
SPECIAL ORDER ONLY - FREE SHIPPING WITHIN CONTINENTAL U.S.
Scheduled for December release

The actual tank variant is a Panzer II Ausf.B, which was produced by Germany from December 1937 through to June 1938. The 8.9-ton tank was a mere 4.81m long, and it was operated by a crew of three. In the turret was a 20mm KwK.30 cannon and a 7.92mm MG34 machine gun. The Panzer II was at the forefront of the German invasion of Poland in 1939, and it also featured in the Blitzkrieg campaign against France and the Low Countries in 1940.

As an Action Figure item, the tank is fully preassembled and pre-painted in a characteristic panzer grey scheme suitable for the early battles of WWII. Even though the original tank was diminutive in size, this model built to exact 1/6 scale poses a significant presence thanks to the large scale. Appropriate crew figures from Dragon's vast Action Figure range can also be matched with this tank. Details are accurately represented, and there are numerous details too, thanks to the large size. The turret rotates, the gun elevates and depresses, and in addition, the commander's hatch in the turret can open. This means it's perfect for fitting a tank crewman figure in the hatch. Collectors will certainly want to clear space on their display shelves to park this scintillating Panzer II Ausf.B!

Stunning '69 Camaro Still Turning Heads

The Chevrolet Camaro has been a popular favorite ever since it was first released in 1966. It was introduced at a press conference on June 28, 1996, as a key competitor against the Ford Mustang. When asked what a "Camaro" was, Chevrolet product managers confidently answered that it was "a small, vicious animal that eats Mustangs." The beautiful car was then offered for sale a few months later on September 29.

In 1969 the Camaro took on a slightly different look, and that together with the optional features sold over 230,000 of the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28! This car was super stylish and super powerful - the Z/28 power package included a special 302 cubic inch V8 engine with officially 290 horsepower rating, dual exhausts, special front and rear suspension, heavy duty radiator and temperature-control fan, quick ratio steering, and 15 x 7 inch rally wheels. Top speed for this package was estimated at 120 mph!

The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is exactly what we have here. This First Gear model of the '69 Camaro comes in Tuxedo Black with White stripes and features the following: opening hood with complete engine detail, opening doors with fully detailed interior, poseable front wheels, and opening rear hatch with spare tire.

Item #40-0237 - 1/25 Scale - Price = $45.95

Perfect Christmas Present for Kids: BRUDER

Ever since we started carrying the line almost seven years ago, Bruder has just flown off our shelves, especially around Christmas time. These high-impact plastic models are high-quality and great for any kids who really loves their toys. Several years ago when my brother was still pretty young, we caught him a number of times sneaking out to the warehouse to play with all those cool Bruder toys! It was hard to keep him away. :)

Bruder toys are produced in their family-owned factory in the small town of Burgfarnbach in Southern Germany, where they employ about 350 local townspeople. Tom recently wrote a blog on Bruder that you can read by clicking here.

As the Christmas season approaches, I want to show you some great gift options from Bruder. And you can click here to see all their products on our website.

This is one of our hottest Bruder sellers, the Mack Granite Flatbed Truck with a JCB Backhoe Loader. Since it's made of quality high-impact ABS plastic, it's ready for play either inside or outside in the yard, sandbox, or dirt. And being in 1/16 scale, it's compatible with the Ertl Big Farm products. This item sells for $87.95.

This is one of the older Bruder items, but it's been a great seller for years! It's the Caterpillar Excavator. Perfect for scooping up sand and dirt (or maybe some snow?), the shovel digs below the level of the tracks with just the slide of the handle. This one's also in 1/16 scale, and it sells for $53.95.

These are just a couple of my favorites - please feel free to comment, telling us about your favorite Bruder products!

It's that time already?

I don't know about where you are, but the summer here this year seemed to go on and on. Most of the leaves on the trees have changed now, but it wasn't until last week that it was actually a bit chilly outside. It seemed a bit odd to me when I first noticed that Christmas trees and other decorations have been up in Sam's and Home Depot for weeks now... but I guess it is almost that time, isn't it? Time to start thinking about the family get-togethers, what I'm getting everyone, and how to decorate the house. I'm afraid that like a lot of people, I tend to be one of those last minute shoppers. I remember last Christmas especially, I was shopping for gifts on Christmas Eve... even though I always tell myself about this time of year that I won't be doing that. Time to start thinking... I think I'll get my boyfriend a wallet and an album by one of his favorite bands, get my brother a comfy moon chair, and one of my college friends a coffee maker. What about you all? I had fun setting up this cool little poll, so have a go at it.
