CAT Stops Production of On-Highway Trucks

You may have heard last Friday that CATERPILLAR announced that they will no longer be producing on-highway trucks.  You can read the Equipment World report HERE:

In response, Diecast Masters sent this information:

As many of you may already know, Caterpillar announced this past Friday that it will cease production of all on-highway trucks, effective immediately, and close down this business.

As a result, Diecast Masters is making the following moves, subject to further developments:

- We will immediately stop production of our new CT681 truck scale models. This includes:

                - Item 85295 - 1:50 scale CT681 Concrete Mixer

                - Item 85512 - 1:87 scale CT681 Concrete Mixer

                - Item 85513 - 1:50 scale CT681 Dump Truck

                - Item 85514 - 1:87 scale CT681 Dump Truck

- We will not initiate production of any CT680 truck models.

- We will not produce any CT660/lowboy trailer combinations — Items 85503 (truck and lowboy) and 85293 (truck, lowboy and 950H wheel loader).

- The current stock of already-made CT660 dump trucks will not be replenished after it is sold out. This includes Item 85502 (red truck with silver dump body) and Item 85290 (yellow truck with black dump body).

The CT660 dump trucks just arrived yesterday, and we expect to have them in stock for quite a while; however, at the same time, we also suggest you place your order sooner rather than later as there are no certainties, and when they're gone, they're gone.
