Motormax Arrives!

One of the things that sets long-lasting hobbies apart from hobbies that pop up and then flame out is choice. In fact, you can often tell if a hobby has staying power based upon little more than the amount of options available. Collecting models has been a hobby for decades now, and the power of choice is one of the things that has kept it going up until now and that will keep it going into the future.

Are you someone who wants construction models? You have options like Norscot, NZG, and WSI. Are you someone who is primarily interested in military models? There is Dragon, Corgi, and Forces of Valor. Are you interested in cars, both vintage and modern? You have a plethora of options to choose from—which brings me to today.

Here at 3000toys.com, we are excited to announce that we are now carrying Motormax! Motormax was founded in 1997 and since then it has specialized in manufacturing highly-detailed, officially-licensed collectible die-cast models. We specifically carry items from two of their lines: American Classics and Die-cast Collection. Here is a small sampling of what to expect:

#73801AC - 1/43 Scale
1932 Ford Coupe

#73101BK - 1/18 Scale
Porsche 911 in Black

#73303AC-BL - 1/24 Scale
1970 Ford Mustang BOSS 429 in Blue

As these above models show, Motormax is a great option for your collection, and we are proud to carry it. Give the rest of our Motormax items a look, as I am sure you will find something that you, or someone in your life, will cherish. The New F/A-18F Super Hornet from Forces of Valor:

Designed and initially produced by McDonnell Douglas, the Super Hornet first flew in 1995. Full-rate production began in September 1997, and the Super Hornet entered service with the United States Navy in 1999.  It replaced the Grumman F-14 Tomcat™ in 2006, and serves alongside the original Hornet.

This model from Forces of Valor is a replica of the Super Hornet flown by the Strike Fighter Squadron 41 (VFA-41), also known as the "Black Aces."  The Black Aces is attached to Carrier Air Wing 9, and is currently deployed aboard the USS John C. Stenis. Their radio call sign is "Fast Eagle" and their tail code is NG.

There are actually quite a few videos on YouTube from the cockpit of this plane, during take-off and flying.  It looks amazing and completely terrifying!

This 1/72 scale model has lots of features and its accurate markings.

New from Forces of Valor!

We are so excited about six new models from Forces of Valor! These should be arriving this winter, so be sure and check them out! They are also in new packaging! No more ties or screws, instead they are in a double blister clamshell for easier access.

The Forces of Valor 80064 sounds like a great model, I can't wait to see it in person.

U.K. Sherman Firefly - 7th Armoured Division, Normandy, 1944
Some of it's great features include:
- Lower chassis and turret barrel are metal
- Elevating barrels
- Rotating turret
- Rolling tracks and more!

The Sherman Firefly was a World War II British variant of the American Sherman tank, fitted with the powerful British 17 pounder anti-tank gun as its main weapon.  Originally conceived as a stopgap until future British tank designs came into service, the Sherman Firefly became the most common tank with the 17 pounder in World War II. It soon became highly valued as the only British tank capable of defeating the Panther and Tiger tanks it faced in Normandy at standard combat ranges.
