New 1/50 CAT Models from Diecast Masters Coming Soon!

Diecast Masters expands its line of 1/50 scale CAT machines in a big way - with five new models covering the very popular category of paving!

The PM622 and PM822 cold planers are half-lane milling machines that remove asphalt and concrete pavements in a single pass. Slightly more powerful, the PM822 has a rating of 755 HP in comparison with the PM622's 630 HP rating. This power, when combined with excellent maneuverability, makes these cold planers invaluable to paving companies.

The CS11 GC soil compactor uses the high vibrations and immense weight concentrated at the drum for better performance in various soils. This Diecast Masters model includes articulated steering, a removable cab roof to remove an operator figure, as well as a rotating drum and tires with authentic tread detail.

Paving Its Way In This Fall: NZG's Vogele Super 2100-3i

The Vogele Super 2100-3i Road Paver is a highway class tracked paver that weighs about 22 tons and has a maximum paving width of 13 meters.

In one pass, the paver can cover a four lane motorway, at a lay down rate of up to 1110 tons per hour. It is the most powerful paver within the "Dash 3" generation.

NZG has replicated the Vogele Super 2100-3i Road Paver in 1/50 scale. It has some great features including the new shaped canopy with side extensions.  It also has an opening engine cover revealing a nicely detailed engine. The canopy and exhaust stack fold down for displaying in a transport configuration.

      

It also features:

• Individually linked tracks
• Tilting inward hopper sides 
• Working height adjustment and extending side panels
• Detailed main control station with sliding control console, decorated switches,  and swing-out seats

New Models featured at Bauma 2013

Every three years in Munich, construction equipment manufacturers from around the world come together to show their newest and most innovative machinery at Bauma, the worlds largest construction equipment exhibition in the world.

The most recent Bauma was held last month, and models of the real machines were also shown.

Cranes Etc TV put together a overview video of Bauma 2013.  I was overwhelmed by the diversity of so many exciting, new innovations in the construction and model industry.  Please enjoy the below video!
