New Caterpillar 245ME Mass Excavator Coming from CCM!

We are excited to announce that Classic Construction Models is rolling out a 1/48 scale diecast replica of the Caterpillar 245ME Mass Excavator! Each model includes a specification sheet that is serial numbered so as to serve as the Certificate of Authenticity for the model. This is a limited edition collectible with only 395 in the production run.

This Cat 245 replica has a working ME boom and stick, positionable bucket, detailed hydraulic lines, accurate handrails and steps. It features opening doors and perforated engine covers.

The paint and markings are accurate for the period, and inside the perforated engine covers is a highly-detailed engine that adds to the beauty of this model.

The windows on the cab allow you to see the detailed interior that makes this excavator even more realistic.

 Individually-linked, narrow gauge tracks with spring tensioners allow for smooth operation on the construction site.

CCM's CAT 776 Off-Highway Tractor

CAT® 776 Off-Highway Tractor with Mega MET-185 Trailer 

Classic Construction Models (CCM) has done a great job at replicating the Caterpillar 776 off-highway tractor which provides dependable power to haul large loads in rugged hauling conditions. Mated with the Mega MET-185 equipment trailer capable of transporting up to 185 tons, this combination is the ideal solution for moving big equipment in mining and construction environments.

As a CCM precision 1/48 scale die-cast model, all the usual details are in effect. This includes opening doors with a complete cab interior, working kingpin hitch, a fully-represented engine & drive-train, and pivoting steering linkage & front wheels. 

In addition, the MET-185 is detachable from the 776 tractor. Both the tractor & trailer are painted in authentic period Caterpillar yellow with accurate markings. It also comes with a serial numbered certificate of authenticity that includes actual vintage machine specifications.

This museum quality, detailed replica will not disappoint! 

Constructed completely of high-detailed brass, this model features a positionable boom, stick and bucket, a full operator's cab, and visible engine and hydraulic systems - this is a true museum-quality work of art!

Museum quality details include realistic fire suppression system, air intakes, work lights, assembly hooks, and access panels. All hydraulic pistons on the real machine are recreated with complete scale hardlines, system manifolds and hoses.

Free-rolling, individually linked and pinned track shoes function like the actual machine.  All track rollers and idlers are functional, and spring-tensioned drives are moveable. Complete catwalks feature accurate to scale grating in photo etched brass and hand-formed safety railings in brass. 

Accurate scale markings and paint; fully rendered machine markings, warning labels, and paint scheme: all approved by Caterpillar Inc.

Caterpillar 963D Track Loader 

The 963D comes equipped with working hydraulics, moving diecast tracks, and great detailing. It is manufactured in 1/50 scale, and is mostly Diecast metal with some plastic parts. The shovel rises, lowers and tilts and the hooks in the back move as well. The operator's cab is nicely detailed, and has door handles, windshield wiper, lights and mirrors on the outside. It also features the CAT logo and model type in multiple places. 

1/50 scale is a great size, large enough that you get great quality and excellent detailing, but small enough to be affordable and easy to display. As with all Norscot it comes in a bright yellow CAT colored box, so it looks great in the box or out.

In 1995, CCM was offered the opportunity to produce licensed Caterpillar scale models. Since signing the agreement, CCM has produced more than 40 Cat models in brass and die-cast at 1/87, 1/48, and 1/24 scale.
