15 New Models!!

We have just received fifteen new models from NZG!

These excellent models are ready to ship RIGHT NOW!

I had the opportunity to take a closer look at a couple of them, and they did not disappoint. As with all NZG models, these are exceptionally detailed.

NZG 832-06

NZG has manufactured the Hamm GRW280 Rubber Wheeled Roller in the Dijkstra colors and scheme. It is mainly diecast construction with a few plastic parts. It has moving wheels with metal hub cabs and rubber tires. The front wheels are also equipped with working suspension. The front end is nicely detailed, quite realistic and features the Hamm logo on the front grill. The steps leading to the operator’s cabin on either side have no slip tread and are diecast metal. The interior of the cabin is well detailed, particularly the control panel, steering column and seat. The cabin’s doors and windshield are complete with  hinges, handles and windshield wipers. The back of the roller has diamond plate on either side and the Hamm and Diijsktra logos. Underneath you will find that the drive shafts are well detailed, diecast metal. There are additional lights and mirrors included, that will need some assembly. This helps  ensure that your model is in pristine condition when you receive it.

NZG 8613-01

NZG has manufactured the Mercedes-Benz Actros FH23 StreamSpace 4x2 in the K Line colors. It is made complete with a diecast 40' sea container and chassis. The model is mostly made of highly detailed, diecast metal with a few plastic parts. It has moving rubber wheels with nicely detailed diecast hub caps. The front wheels can be steered from side to side. The exterior if the cab is highly detailed and very realistic. The lights have individual lenses, the grill and license plate is very realistic and the steps are textured. It also has the K Line logos, the Mercedes emblem on the grill, and a fleet number on the side of the cab. Behind the cab is also very realistic. The fuel tanks have color coded caps and the hoses are rubber. The interior of the cab is also well detailed. The dashboard has gauges and buttons, and the seats are two toned, which adds a nice touch. The undercarriage and chassis has been given just as much attention as the rest. The drive shafts and fuel tanks are especially nice. The container is removable and well detailed.  It is red and features the K Line Logo on both sides. There are two spare tires on the chassis just under the container. The chassis come equipped with two fixed metal landing legs.

Becoming a Model Citizen with Eligor

Registering to vote, not littering, and always being willing to let another driver merge into your lane are all acts of a model citizen. Soon to be added to that list: collecting Eligor models. Eligor makes high-quality, 1/43 scale models that feature unique subject matter: how many ecologically friendly trucking companies are driving around your collection? None? What about Parisian advertising vehicles? Then it's time to make room for Eligor. I'm predicting that owning one of these newly released models (scheduled to arrive at 3000toys.com in February - March) will soon be a key to being a well-rounded and fun individual.

ELIGOR - 101423 - 1/43 Price = $39.95

The Living Images - CITROËN 2CV AZU Special

This wonderful model displays the attention grabbing advertising vehicles that were commonly seen driving around or parked in high traffic areas. These were equipped with neon-lit windows that were controlled by a timer; each time the timer went off pictures were on display for the crowds to see.

ELIGOR - 101389 - 1/43 Price = $48.95

SINPAR Castor Firetruck

This model depicts a vehicle used by the Marine Firemen to fight against maritime pollution with anti pollution prevention equipment with which the Firemen used to safeguard the quality of the fauna and flora of the coast. This vehicle makes it possible to access places where no other vehicle could and, as a result, be as responsive as possible to face pollution threatening the beaches.

ELIGOR - 114442 - 1/43 Price = $66.95

Iveco Stralis - 2007 Ecostralis Cab Only

For Iveco, sustainable development is more than a goal, it is a business plan, a mentality on which to base everyday decisions. The Ecostralis is the realization of that commitment to ensure maximum productivity and low operating costs, all while minimizing the impact on the environment. This model shows the impressive design components on the Ecostralis and will make an impressive addition to any collection.

ELIGOR - 114500 - 1/43 Price = $123.95

Callejo Transportation - Man TGX XXL

Spurred on by ecological awareness, Callejo Transportation continuously seeks to minimize its carbon footprint. This approach is based on a fleet of newer vehicles meeting the latest European emissions standards, training drivers to be enviromentally responsible, and utilizing advanced logistics and planning to be on-time without stress or overuse of the trucks. This wonderful model is a prime example of a stylish vehicle from their fleet.

ELIGOR - 114515 - 1/43 Price = $123.95

Transport UTE - DAF XF105 Space Cab

Founded in 1991 with two vehicles, Transport UTE specializes in urgent deliveries in Europe. This model is a beautiful exampe of a vehicle from their fleet.

ELIGOR - 114404 - 1/43 Price = $129.95

Iveco Glider - Cab only

The super-aerodynamic Iveco Glider was developed in conjunction with Centro Ricerche Fiat. It has all sorts of clever fuel-saving features including an energy-recovery system built into the exhaust, photo-voltaic cells on the roof, and an extra-sleek exterior. This beautiful model is made all the more impressive with working front and rear lights!

A Big Box of Bruder

It is always fun to find a big box under the Christmas tree. I think there's probably scientific evidence that kids eyes grow and their hearts beat faster when they see a big box under the tree. This scientific evidence would also show that upon opening up the big box to find a toy from Bruder, their excitement and happiness is multiplied by 3,000 (I'm estimating). The following 1/16 toys from Bruder are sure to be a hit on Christmas morning.

Other toys better steer clear of Bruder’s Liebherr Articulated Road Loader L 574 (02430 - Price = $46.95)! This tough construction vehicle has articulated steering, allowing it to make sharp turns and fit into small areas. The front loader can be raised or lowered by a lever, or locked into place when not in use. Other features include an off road rear axel , a hood that opens to reveal the engine, and tread tires.

Bruder’s MACK Granite Worldwide Logistics Container Truck (02819 - Price = $77.95) is just like the real thing! The driver’s cab has doors that open, foldable mirrors and a tilting hood to view the engine block. This vehicle offers an interchangeable container that detaches automatically from the vehicle when the support legs are pulled down, allowing the truck to move out from underneath the trailer. The truck carries a forklift for flexible loading and unloading, even in small spaces. The double lifting mast of the forklift can be operated with one hand, and the forklift can be steered by hand which allows maneuvering in the tightest of spaces.

Bruder’s Fendt 936 Vario (03041 - Price = $42.95) is ready for any job! This expandable tractor features steerable front wheels which operate with the included steering arm, cab doors that open, independent suspension on the wheels to navigate uneven terrain, plus a trailer hitch that is compatible with all of the Bruder trailers. The frontloader is easily adjustable, and can be taken off and replaced with a forklift sold separately.

Across the Pond

Working with our fine trucking replicas often causes my mind to drift towards the open road. I think about the long trips I have taken across the country and I think about the truckers who are taking goods all over our country. I imagine how many states they have crossed off their "list" and hope that they enjoy crossing over state lines as much as I did when I was growing up.

Now, after working around and admiring the models that we carry, my mind wanders even further. For instance, this newest arrival of Universal Hobbies 1/50 scale semi-trucks (like item 5683 to your left, available $40.95) has my mind scampering all over Europe, imaging what it must be like to not only cross state lines, but to cross over into a different countries! Sure, these trucks look different, but I have to believe that their souls are the same: adventurous and rugged, always looking forward to the next piece of open road.

I hope these trucks will do the same for you and either take you back to a memory of a special time abroad or inspire you to get out and see the world and mark some states (or countries) off of your list.

Take a look first at these cab only beauties that feature the detail and craftsmanship we have all come to expect from Universal Hobbies.

UNIVERSAL HOBBIES - 5684 - 1/50

And now, some of my favorite models that I've ever seen around here. The high quality details combined with the unique European advertising makes these "must-have" items. Pick your favorite, but know that in my opinion nothing is better than the yellow "Dark Dog" truck.

UNIVERSAL HOBBIES - 5689 - 1/50

UNIVERSAL HOBBIES - 5651 - 1/50 Price = $72.95
