Minnesota's Own Hercules

Last week we received three new items from Dragon, and they're eagerly waiting, sitting on the shelves until they can come be part of your collections! I want to tell you about one of those items, the C-130H Hercules.

This particular model is from the Minnesota Air National Guard, specifically the 109th Airlift Squadron, which was the first ever Air National Guard in the USA. The Minnesota Air National Guard has two primary units located at Duluth International Airport and at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport. It has also been active in the Global War on Terror since September 11, 2001.

Members of the former 109th Aeromedical Squadron came up with the idea of putting these particular markings from a Convair C-131 Samaritan air evacuation aircraft onto the C-130. Now Dragon is newly launching this C-130 Hercules model as a commemoration of this remarkable unit of the Air National Guard (ANG).
